not so sure about the tick but yes rough running. What do u think abot the O2 sensor i got that code as well bank one sensor one some told me that would do it as well.just dont want to start changing parts. If it was the intake shouldent the rpms go up when i sprayed it with carb clener around the base?

filter in tank is a strainer wich is before pump,03 pick ups has inline fuel filters,id be surprise that an 05 would have to drop gas tank to do routine maint.,usually filter is on frame rail driver side at middle of truck.

How do i reset the ecm of my 1996 chevy silverado 1500

Use the OBD-II scanner for 1996 and up vehicles to clear codes and shut the service engine soon light off if set. I would read the codes before doing this, though, to get a clue as to what is tripping the ECM's light in the first place.

One can get a scanner for under $100 from Sears or Walmart or get the local Autozone or Advance Auto Parts to do it for free, if they do that in your area.

2002 chevy duramax fuel gauge stopped working and makes vibrating noise sometimes around back fuel tank is this a simple fix and how thanks

Well I have a 2002. I have had this prob from the day I drove it home from the dealer. Evry time I'd put fule in the rear tank the guage stopped working. The transfer pump stopped working. It was back at chevy (3) times, and still no fix. They keep puting in new rear transfer pumps in it but that is not doing it.
It is an Electrical Problem, I keep geting rear transfer pump codes. So I was just unhooking the bat's but it's a pain.
So I just stopped puting fuel in the rear tank. And now if it stops working I just us the scanner to clear the codes and it will start to work... I am so done with this truck.
This truck also had ( whater pump, (2) Glow plugs, Injectors, fan cluch,) all go out in the first (5) years. GM, Is trash...

if you put in speed sensor make sure you didnt cross thread the sensor this would be bad
