I suggest check brake switch, underdash, top back side brake pedal or some short/ground there.

I have a 2011 Ford Fusion. The tail lights have stopped working. I replaced the bulbs and checked the fuse. They are good. The tail light's come on only when unlocking the car with remote. Both turning...

very first thing make sure you have a good ground and that there clean, the switch might be bad or shorted, and if its not its more than likely a short in between the switch and the bulb.if you got the money just pay to have it fixed,if u don't have it get a test light and got through the cycles and start weeding out working from non once you find the culprit make a paper thin splice going with the wire and jump it off of a open port in you fuse box, if they light up its the switch, don't worry about burning anything up there are fuses.sorry for long post i hope it helps

No tail lights

if both went at same time it sounds like a fuse rather than bulbs. fuse boxes usually under dash and under bonnet near wings.
