Check if the fan belt is tensioned correctly.A loose fan belt can slip and cause the alternator not to charge adequately (especially under load) although charging enough to put the dash light out.

It has to be the alternator.Go to autozone or some place like that and they can test it.

Have you tried taking the serpentine belt off ? You could have a stuck pulley or accessory keeping the crank from turning.
Could be something with the transmission too.

A/c will not hold freon and i cant find a leak. i tried dye to see if i could find the leak, nothin. i used stop leak, still nothin..what do i do now??

if you see no traces of the dye, then your leak is probally in the dash area in the evaporator core.did you look at the a/c water drain to see if you can find traces of the dye coming out of it? also does it have rear a/c? may want to look under the vehicle to may sure you don't have a hole in a line and check the rear evaporator also.

I have a 1990 LeSabre Station Wagon that hasn't been run much over the past 10 years. We have run it a little the past year and the air conditioner isn't working. I changed over the fittings to...

this is normal as there isn`t enough freon to keep the clutch on long enough to do anything thus lack of pressure in the system.also there won`t be enough freon and pressure in the system to show up any leak if there is one.
