SOURCE: vsc vsc off check engine lights on

the reason the VSV light is on is because your engine light is on it is a safety reason when the check engine light comes on and a sertine code is set and it disables cruise control and traction control (VSV) you need to have the code pulled to see why the engine light came on then get back to me and i can pinpoint your problem and fix it my email is jagjeffery @yahoo.com or contact me here at FIXYA

SOURCE: 2001 Toyota Corolla lifter noise

Check your timing or could be timing belt out of 1 tooth. This model of corolla does not use lifter.

SOURCE: Clicking noise on acceleration

I know how to fix you're problem.... Get some Fosgate 12'inch sub woofers With a 2 channle amp and some Boston speakers with a 4 channle amp ,. :) You Will NEVER hear the sound again.... . :)

I don't think it's a normal sound at all but, ........................... I can't really tell you, seeming i didn't build the car lol , Does it make the sound after the car is off?

And if it is normal..... Then you should go get a Corolla lol

Did you ask them why it makes the sound it does? And what did they say? I seem to find most people that work at the dealers are morons. And all they do is well... we can check it out for you 200$.. lol Then tell you we couldn't find it, :<

Best of Luck

SOURCE: 2001 toyota avalon engine and vsc light stays on

You have to use a scanner and pull the code out that is causing the check engine light to come on. whatever code/codes you find are probably related to vsc light.
Good luck and keep me posted

Car problems

Make sure you have a good battery. Make sure the battery and clamps are clean and tight. If clicks, the starter or starter solenoid is acting up. I believe the clicking noise is coming from the starter? Good luck.

Motor knocks when first started

It sounds like the lifters are draining down over night. When was the last time you changed the oil? A fresh oil change may do the trick, if not try some hydraulic lifter additive ( you just add to the engine oil)

THE 1998 TOYOTA AVALON ENGINE LIGHT GOES ON

Don't take a chance on what the dealer says, when the engine light comes on take it and have the code read and it will tell you what is going on. The light must be on at the time the code is read though or it won't tell you anything. Most auto parts stores will do it for free.

Knocking until car warms up

Sounds like a lifter noise. worn lifters can't keep oil in them anymore so over night the oil leaks out. when you start the vehicle, you will hear a ticking noise or knocking noise till the lifters fill with oil again. only remedy is to replace the lifters.
you could try an additive but it's temporary.
