Question about 2002 Jeep Liberty

2003 Jeep Liberty rear side window "squeals" when operated down.

Dear FixYa,

The rear passenger side window of my 2003 Jeep Liberty makes a shrill squealing noise when operated down. It sounds as if it needs lubrication in its track. What lubricant should be used and how do I apply it?

Thank you,

Harry Brandt

    Dear Thundergod,

Thanks for your suggested solution to my squealing window. The silicone spray worked. Haven't had any problem with frozen door seals since moving from the Northeast. Today: 81 deg, sunny.

    Sincerely,

I usually spray guide tracks with a silicone spray. It works pretty well. Up north where I am, when sprayed on door seals it keeps doors from freezing closed as well!

REAR WINDOW FEATURES
Rear Window Wiper/Washer
A rotary ring switch on the control lever, located on the
right side of the steering column, controls operation of
the rear wiper/washer function. Rotating the center of
the switch up to the DEL (Delay) position or the ON

Why won't 2004 jeep liberty rear hatch door open?

There is no keyhole and switch on the rear hatch in Jeep liberty.
You can control the hatch by remote key and window/door switch on the driver seat side.
I don't know why they make like this, it's inconvenience.

Rear passenger side window stuck in down position

1) Yes you are right to think that it is the regulator.
2) You can repair this.

Remove the screws that hold the door panel on.
Remove the door panel. There are alot of clips on the door panel that just need to be pulled out with panel while removing.
Remove debris shield.(plastic piece between door panel and door.
The regulator will be visible at this point.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the regulator. Separate Glass from regulator. Some use clips some use bolts to hold the glass to the regulator.
Remove regulator attaching bolts.

Thats it just reverse the procedure for installation.

It is the switch wear you roll up and down the windows. Get the switch replace and that should solve the problem.
