I have a 2001 Hyundai sonata my brother took out the factory radio and installed a cd player now my dash lights wont work and it keeps burning out a fuse

Pull the radio and swap the black and brown wire from the car harness to the radio. brown is power to lights, black is ground. Don't let your brother wire in any thing else.

I have a 2005 sonata , and the radio has stopped working , I checked the fuse under the dash , it was good , ,,,is there another fuse somewhere else to check , Thanks.

There are fuses in the back of the player sometimes. You may check there, mainly cd players. You might have a loose wire or a break in the current. You can try to unplug the battery to reset it. It might help. If not, you need to check the wires.

2001 hyundai sonata wiring diagram

You don't required to search for the wiring diaghram. These are standard in the wiring harness from the manufacturer. You need to look for the socket which may folded inside the console in front of you. Fix the audio in position and connect the cable socket for your new audio.

How to remove 2001 hyndai sonata audio system

Instructions
Things You'll Need:
  • Screwdrivers
  • Wiring harness adaptor
  • Hyundai radio adaptor kit
  1. Open the coin holder and remove the two screws at the front. Pry the trim from around the gearshift lever and unhook the power wire to the cigarette lighter.
  2. Locate and remove the two screws from the bottom of the radio trim panel. Look for the screws, attached to a rod, below the glove box. Unhook the cable from the rod and pull the rod free.
  3. Place the shifter into "D" and slide the radio trim panel away from the dash. Locate the four screws at the front and sides of the stereo and remove them.
  4. Pull the stereo out of the Hyundai Sonata dash and disconnect the wires from the back of the unit. Connect the wiring harness adaptor to the original harness.
  5. Slide the new head unit into the Hyundai radio adaptor kit. Attach the wiring harness adaptor and antenna wire to the back of the new head unit and push the entire assembly into the dash.
  6. Secure the stereo in place with the four front and side screws and turn it on. Verify all of the speakers and features are working. Reattach the radio trim panel, insert the rod back into cable assembly and secure the trim around the gear shift.

Error code er 2

I dont want to guess a solution for this however, ERR2 represents EJECT. The description of this error is "The Eject is not available". Possibilities are, jammed mechanism or sticky eject button.
