Question about 2010 BMW 320d ed
Due to the emissions increasing, BMW have said they do not recommend fitting a towbar to a 320d ed auto. I would like to know if there is a structural / mechanical or electrical reason for not fitting an aftermarket towbar?

What it sounds like to me is that they didn't replace the "brake sensors" when they did the job. They are a seperate part and if whomever changed your brakes didn't charge you, I think like $20, for the part, then that's the problem.

SOURCE: towbar wiring for bmw x3
I dont know this particular model but if you go to a caravan sales pitch ,they usually have the wiring diagrams at the back of their caravan brochures. You could always tell them that you,re interested in getting a caravan but dont know if your car can be wired for one. Also try towbar sellers, they always give out the diagrams. Hope this helps.
