SOURCE: I need to replace driver

Some of those have a seperate piece of trim inside the door at the mirror and it can be removed by itself to access the nuts. It can be pried off. Others require removal of the door trim panel. If you have take the whole trimi panel off, start by taking the screws out from behind the release handle and inside the pull cup. If you have manual windows you'll have to remove the crank. There's a trick for this: get a cloth rag and tuck it between the crank and trim panel and let the ends hang down. Grab the ends and pull down on them quickly in a sawing motion. You may need to try different positions, but usually it is with the crank pointed straight up or straight down. The cloth will catch the ends of the horse shoe clip and disengage it allowing you to slide the crank off the shaft. Then slide a large flat blade screw driver into the bottom between the trim panel and body and pry outward to release the plastic retaining clips. They go all around the door, but once the bottom comes out far enough to get your fingers in there you can work your way around very easily to release all of them. Some of them will break. There's nothing you can do about that. Just be careful not to break the trim panel. Remove the rod from the release handle by unsnapping it (it rotates) and then pop the rod out. I'd recommend using a bungee cord to support the trim panel so as to not damage the wiring (or disconnect the wires). There should be 3 8mm (or 5/16) nuts that hold the mirror to the door and some models have an additional 8 or 10mm bolt hidden somewhere. It's easy to get to, but it's somewhere you wouldn't expect it to be. I can't remember without looking at one where exactly it is. If it's electric, disconnect the connector. If it's manual, snap the bezel off the adjuster knob. The mirror may stick a little, but generally they come off relatively easy. Hit me back if you need clarification. Good luck.

SOURCE: How do I replace the

You have to remove the whole bracket that the tensioner assembly is attached to then you can get at the bolts that holed the tensioner and pulley together to service. Have fun.

Dodge neon 2.0 L sohc how to remove lifters from rocker arms

Ok here is the deal, the lifters are poorly designed and prone to noise or "tick", the way to silence this is not just new lifters but new rocker arm assemblies which include new lifters. Use the best parts not the cheapest ones, factory new one are improved from previous designs. If you still want to just replace the lifters you must take the rockers to a machine shop and have the lifters pressed out and replaced by them. Another suggestion is if you live in a warm climate use 10W-30W synthetic oil.

I have a tapping noise in my 2005 neon it just startaed

check the oil make sure its full. change the oil with recommended grade oil and the filter. if this doesn't fix the issue have the oil pressure checked. neon are known to have bearing issues that cause low oil pressure and a tapping noise because the lifters are not getting enough oil. some will have the oil light flicker when engine is idle in gear. another cause for a tapping would be the belt tentioner

Can a lifter be fixed on a 97 dodge neon or do I have to take to a shop[? example add oil, change oil. or put oil in a certain spot?

I think you will find that you have to take it to the shop. The valve lifters are located on the camshaft which in the 97 neon is located in the middle of the engine you would need to pull the cylinder heads off to get there, I dont think it will be a quick fix, im sorry good luck

I have a 2005 dodge neon sxt, in the morning when I start it up I hear a loud knocking noise from the engine but after about 15 seconds it gets softer but is still there all day when I'm driving around.

It is probably your lifters sticking. Check your engine oil level and if thats fine, then add some oil detergent/additive that says it will "reduce engine knock and free sticky lifters" run with that additive for a couple hundred miles or until the noise gets better. then replce your oil after that without using the additive

Valve ticking

There is no valve adjustment on a 2.0 engine they are equipped with hydraulic lifters. Try changing the oil and using marvel mystery oil it will usually clean up sticky lifters. If that doesnt clear it up in a few hundred miles you will have to replace the defective lifter
