SOURCE: dome light wont turn off

some times the door switch can be faulty. and it may be coincidence that the interior switch is faulty too. i have owned alot of S- series trucks and a few of them have done this to me. you need to individually check each door for switch contact

SOURCE: Drivers door power window control stopped

Since it is only happening on the drivers side door to multiple switches and lights on that door only, I think the problem is the wiring harness as it enters the drivers door by the door hinges.

I need help please. I have a 1999 holden combo sb. The engine light with the lighting bolt is flashing.

If your fuel pump isn't getting power then it's either in need of replacement or the fuel pump relay is stuff. It'll be one of those two things. The engine light will need a scan tool to clear and reset it

Hi I have a 2007 Holden Astra SRI turbo coupe and the interior lights for both back and front of the car will not turn off when I lock the doors I waited about 10 minutes fto turn off but they didnt

The door switch is faulty and the system is sensing that the driver's door is still open when it is shut. It is a common issue.

Have it looked at and in the meantime you can manually switch all the interior lights to the off position.

Interior lights won't shut off

one of your door jamb switches probably needs adjustment because it is not coming into contact with the door; usually the driver's door as that one gets used most often. these switches can be usually adjusted to be longer so it contacts the door again.3_8_2013_5_20_44_pm.png

Car will not start

Hi Kevin, Have the battery checked and if it's fine, turn off everything and close the doors. Check to see if there is a spark as you connect the positive terminal. Keep in mind the computer, radio and clock memories draw all the time, as does the interior cabin light if the door is open, so expect a very small spark. Any heavy spark indicates too much currant is being drawn and will need investigation. Regards John

My lights on my 1996 caravan won't shut off until the timer shuts them off and they turn on when any door is opened

You are talking about interior lights, right ?
As long as the on-time is under a minute or two, its normal.
The lights are supposed to go off as soon as you start the van tho.

Interior roof lights won't go off

This can be caused by a door or trunk being ajar, be sure you shut all doors firmly, if there is still no resolve check by shutting all doors then open one up and press the button (if any) on the inside of the door jam and see if it is broken or the light goes off.

Interior lights won't go off after shut down

Hello
There are switches in the door, check to be sure the wire didn't get broken otherwise it's most likely a bad switch there.
Best regards,

My 95 Ford Windstar has just developed a rather distressing problem. In the morning, I get in my van and everything is fine. A few hours later, when I get in my van and start it, there is a warning bell...

one of the door ajar switches are sticking. needs to be put on the computer to find out which one. only other way is to go around and unplug the switches until your light shuts off.

Dim interior lights, power locks wont work......

Try looking at your battery. Check the cables to make sure they are tight and clean. Brush the corrosion off with a wire brush. Now, if you have a wiring schematic, find the ground for the interior lights and clean it up too. Oh, put vasoline on it, and the battery cables, to keep them corrosion free. Check the other grounds in the car cabin too.
