If it it go away when you step on brakes it is your brake pad sensor
it is not really a sensor it is just piece of metal sticking further from last
few /32 of pad to alert you it is time to change it before you go metal to metal
temporary solution
take your wheel off bend back and change your brakes asap
you still have some times ,
bearing usually makes humming noise

I would check the hub bearing, most cases it is the problem.

I would vote against a wheel bearing if it's a high pitched squeak. Bad wheel bearings are more of a grinding that you should be able to feel as well as hear. If it's a high pitched squeak, two things are touching that are not meant to be touching; that could be a lot of things. There is probably a brake/suspension shop in your area that would be willing to diagnose it for free. Take it there; they see so many vehicles coming in they will probably be able to root out the cause a lot faster.

Try replacing or resurfacing your rotors and brake hardware. Using brake pads similar to the oem will also help stop any problems.

My Lincoln LS does that sometimes

Unrelated, but a recall on mine ,was to change the
Power Steering Fluid, which along with the trans fluid,
should be done every 3 years anyway

I think the squeak is in the column,I haven't figured it out yet,
but years ago the dealer put an additive in the P/S & fixed

2000 Cougar with rumbling noise.

There are several places to look. If it is a lower pitch vibration, look into front wheel bearings and rear axle bearings. A bad u-joint will produce a higher pitched vibration and may lessen as you lift the throttle. They also will give a hi-low squeak when backing up.
