Sounds like there is a bunch of dirt and junk that got in the cv joint, which now you might have to replace, or if your lucky just cleaned out, if the joint didn't get damaged, I would have it checked. If it is bad,and you can prove it, take the car back and have them fix it, at their expence.Who know's maybe they forgot to tighten the brake calipar.

Metallic knocking coming from from under hood when pulling away.

I'd guess that its related to the double gearbox removal. There are four engine/transmission mounts: one on the top side of the engine, one on the top of the transmission, and two on the center member. One or more might be loose or separating. The top engine mount is a common problem. Could also be loose sway bar mounts, or strut bolts on the uprights.

Rattling, clanking sound over small bumps on drivers side front tires area when driving

Check the droplinks for the anti roll bar... some are like ball joints, and they can seize, which causes the symptoms you are getting.

2005 trailblazer knocking sound front drivers side wheel when accelerating only

First check wheel bearing. Jack front end up lifting tires off ground and see if the wheel moves by pulling on the sidewall part of wheel from top and pushing bottom towards the car does this back and forth if there is play, wheel bearing could need replaced. Take tire off and check for loose brakes, loose calipers, loose dust shields , etc. everything except rotor should be tight.

Knocking when going over small bumps

Cavalier GSi - What a cracking car that was in its day.

I would say front lower arm bushes as they were VERY common back in the day.

Complete lower arms for those are about £45 so not too expensive, easy DiY and tracking not effected.

Knoking sound wile driveing it comes and goes

is it more from the front or back of the car ?? over bumps ?? while acelerating or braking ??

on the top of the front struts there's a rubber bushing called the "upper strut mount" this is a commonly replaced item. Also the sway bar bushings are frequently replaced. or, it could be something totally different..... gremlins ??

Front driver side suspension knock over bumps

See if you can bounce car and replicate the noise. If you can, you should be able to find it, and put your hand on it. Stabilizer bushing are a place to look, both at the lower a arm and on the frame. If you narrow it down to the strut, it will need to be replaced. The front trans mount also goes bad, try putting it in drive with your foot on the brake and give it some gas and see if the engine moves an excessive amount.

While driving over small bumps I hear a faint

there are many possibilties. Sway bar, sway busings, shock, tire, something in the brake pad, wheel bearing, the list goes on and on. Best bet is to let someone qualified to take a look and determin what's wrong before hundereds of dollars are spent without the cause being fixed.
