I'm having the same problem, my SRS light is on too. Just so you know, I just got a thing in the
mail from Honda for my 2001 Honda Civic DX Sedan for a recall on the
airbag system (SRS is part of the same system as airbags, I think). Hope
this gives you a bit more info!!
You probably have a bad catalytic converter, but it is possible the ignition timing is too advanced. If the timing is correct you could try and cheat your way through the test by retarding the timing. This would be done by turning the distributor a little clockwise, lets say...8 degrees with a timing light. Just don't tell Al Gore.
