the honda pilots are all whee drive so there is nothing to lock in the trans mission does it on it's own. it uses sensors on the wheel to tell it when and whitch tire to put the power to.

If the battery is dead when you jump it the alarm will sound. Pop the hood and put the jumper cables on first, then put the key in and start the car. this should turn the alarm off.

have you replaced the fuel filter before? have the spark plugs been changed? what about the spark plug wires? could also be a ECM failing.
