On Chrysler products, the first thing you check is the ASD relay to see if it is working. It powers several things including the coil and injectors on some models.
No spark can be caused by not having power to the coil, or signals from the cam and crank sensors.

When you turn the key, does the starter turn? If you just hear a humming sound, then the arburture (the little gear in the starter) is turning but not ingagging into the flywheel (the big gear that turns your motor). Also, if it starts to turn the motor but then stops, it could be the starter as well, maybe the solenoid that attaches to the starter is starting to go. Hope this helps.

How long did it stay running? I have worked on a dodge but a 1999 model which started but dies right away, I found out that the exhaust was block by corrotion. The vehicle had been used to dock boats which is the reason why. before you change the pump, unplug the connectors to the pump and make sure it is getting voltage. It should have voltage when you first turn the ignition switch on. Computer usually turn the fuel pump relay off if the car is not cranked or the car do not start.

You may have a bad engine ground to the frame. Check & clean any ground wire connections. Also there may be a ballast resistor mounted on the firewall &/Or the starter that has cracked. This will only allow the truck to start in dry conditions. Make sure your red starter cable is not frayed & in good condition & clean the connections at the battery & starter. Hope this helps. Good luck!

It might be your fuel filter. Also, Dodge and Chrysler is bad for fuel pump failures. A clogged fuel filter can cause this. Also, you might not be getting enough fuel pressure. There should be a test port on the van, where you can test the gas pressure. You also have a fuel pump relay or switch. This could be bad as well. Hope this helps you.

2002 honda civic turns over but won't start; not fuel pump or timing belt

Not to sound sarcastic, but I would start with a different mechanic.
Diagnosing a no-start situation requires a basic list of possible causes which we eliminate. You start with spark and fuel and go down the list.
If it has spark, fuel, and compression, it should start. It has to be missing one of the three elements.
It takes time to check every component and go down the list, but that is how its done. You have to check the components one by one.
So, does it have fuel pressure to the injectors?
Does it have spark to the plugs ?
Is the cam timing correct ?
Are the plugs fuel fouled ? Can you spray starting fluid into the intake and get the engine to try to start ?
Has anyone checked the computer for trouble codes ?
Does the engine sound like it has normal compression?

Won't start

Check the fuel injectors, with the key on one side of the two wire connector will have battery voltage, if none is present then check the ECM fuses in the underhood fuel box.

I have a '91 Volvo 240 that will not start. 3-4 weeks ago I replaced both fuel pumps, the in-tank pump one weekend the outside pump the next. After the second pump change I started noticing a fuel...

Based on the condition of the plugs it sounds like its running rich. I almost wonder if someone sold you the wrong pumps and you have too much pressure or something.

Could also very well be whacked injectors. I am thinking it may even be a timing issue...

Hello. My 1997 Chevy Tahoe refuses to start. The problems began with a bad fuel pump. I changed. It worked. The fuel pump died again. I changed it again and it has been working. I parked it for two weeks....

Now you have a good battery & a starter that turns over the motor

Have you cycled the key on & off with a fuel pressure gauge on the
fuel rail?

Do you have a fuel filter that isn't over 3 or 4 years old?

Have you checked for spark while cranking ? Use an old plug on the wires,
if you have ignition wires, don't ground the wire without resistance

If you removed the ducting & MAF Sensor it won't start

Tell us what you checked & exactly how that was done.
