Question about Hyundai Motor 1998 Accent
I've got a hyundai accent coupe e and my clutch started squeeking when the pedal was pressed so i put wd 40 on the joint that goes into the rubber plug into the gearbox but it may have gone in the rubber plug then i lost my clutch entirely but i started it up took the cap off the clutch fluid reservoir and pumped the clutch it's now come back enough to change gears but it doesnt seem 100 per cent and i fear the clutch tottally goin agian any body know wat could have caused the squeeking in the first place and if the wd40 could of lost the clutch completely or wat it could be thanx
Dont use wd40 on it that will mess up the clutch the problem is in the throw out bearing when you put your foot on the clutch that ingages clutch and throw bearing together thats where the noise is comimg from bearing need to be replaced but you replace bearing replace everything in clutch

The squeaking would have either been caused by the clutch release bearing or the pilot bearing in the crankshaft if it has one (pilot bearing). It doesn't really matter as the transmission has to come of to repair either of these. It is hard to tell what you were describing, but whatever you do, don't spray any more WD 40 at anything! It will ruin your clutch and clutch fluid if it comes in contact with either. If the clutch fluid reservoir gets low, only use new brake fluid to top it up.
