Question about 1998 Ford Escort
Steering wheel lock not locking properly and car will not start. Steering wheel will rotate back and forth but the ignition key won't turn past the first unlocked position. Can this be fixed easily?
Mine got stuck and I took off plastic covers around my ignition and tapped on the bottom with a hammer and it came unstuck

go to mitchelldiy online for complete instructions. As far as we know your a thief asking for a nontraceable instructions on how to steal a car. Mitchelldiy will want a credit card and 10 bucks. This way were not liable.

Try wiggling the steering wheel while turning the key. If that does not work the locking device has broken apart inside the column and will need to be town down to inspect
