Question about 2001 Chrysler Town & Country
I no longer have the key fob. This started after I took the door panel off to reattach the mechanism that attaches to the outside door handle because it had stopped working. Thanks!

the door does not have a key reccognition system, only the ignition,
so if you use the key, without first disabling the alarm, the alarm will go off,SO use the remote to unlock the car and the key to start it....no problem....

I'm sorry to say but, these doors are very very complex and unless you have worked on several of them before, I must suggest bring it to a dealership. Believe me when I say this, I am a mechanical engineer and have come close to pulling my hair out while working on auto or manual sliding doors. Sorry, Thanks, Dana.
