SOURCE: I have a 1997 gmc

Those cab mounts can be purchased at a local GM dealer. I do believe, then I would suggest having it in a preffered body shop and they can be replaced. Another alternative is finding a used frame in good shape and swapping out frames. Steve

2000 GMC Sonoma 4x4 Has a constant loud Chirp that happens every few seconds whether idling or driving. I can not seem to locate where it is coming from but sounds like right under me in the drivers seat....

try this.. with the vehicle the drivers door with the window down..sit in the seat and bounce up and down in the seat..listen for your squeak/chirp..I am thinking its either the seat mounts or the body mounts under the can spray wd 40 on the rubber cab mount bushings if you dont hear the sqeak when you bounce on the seat.. get out and grab the door by the far end of the window frame and shake the cab upand down.. you can use petroleum jelly on the seat rails under the seat for a lubricant..dont use regular grease because if you do..and get in with nice clothes on(and catch the bottom of your jacket under the side of the seat)..eeewww...if there is no sqeak, try starting..if you hear it now..its either mounts or a loose belt..

How to adjust rear wheel hub bearings GMC C4500

The normal rule of thumb is tighten till it wont turn then back it off till it is rotating freely now this adjustment is very slight there has to be a certain amount of resistance. If you have not done this before you may want someone with experience to do it so you do not waste a set of new bearings or ruin the race.

It will start sometimes then other times it wont start at all new fuel pump and fuel pump realy

check the wiring going along the frame,I had a 95"ford explorer ,that I replaced the fuel pump in.when I tested it before mounting the tank back,no power making it to the pump.where the wiring turns off the frame towards the top of the tank(to the f.pump)a factory connector was bad or going bad.sometimes would crank and sometimes not.being that it was 2am in the morning,I cut the connector out,and straight wired it,and was good until i could get another connector....check it out.
