Question about 2002 Chrysler 300M

What does it mean when u have no pulse in the injectors and spark plugs in a 2002 Chrysler 300M

I have changed the cam and crank sensor and put in a new ECM. Now I have no fire in the injector or the spark plugs.

The pulse is the a ground that flashes on and off real quick. It's what fires the injectors and coils. The anti theft will also shut that off. U may try unlocking both doors with the key. That turns off the alarm system

If you remove the fuel line and crank the engine and get fuel then you could be assured that the crank sensor works but if there is no fuel while cranking then the crank sensor is most likely the fault. If the crank sensor is not the problem then it is most likely in the coil or distributor which the 97 is notorious for.

Your question states that the fuel pump is good. If you are sure that your fuel pump is good, then it's time to look into your "fuel injector not spraying". Also check all your fuses. It would suck if it's just a fuse :-). Go to your local parts place like advance or autozone and pick up what is called a noid light. This little light plugs into the connector that plugs to the injector. Crank the engine and see if the light flashes when you crank. If the light flashes, check a few others to make sure they work also. That means you're getting an injector pulse and they should be spraying. Look into a fuel pressure problem. If the light does not flash, obviously you are not getting an injector pulse. The sensors that would affect an injector pulse are cam sensors or ignition module. You vehicle may have one or both of them. The crank sensor contributes to spark and cam sensor to injector pulse. Check that you have crank signal also in case you gave multiple problems. Those sensors send signals to the computer but ultimately the injectors get their signal from the computer. If all else is good then it's possible that you may have a bad EM (computer). Further diagnostics may be necessary to determine that. I hope this information has helped some. Good luck.

There is no fuel reset button. What kind of testing have you done? Engine cranking, did you check for spark at the spark plugs? Is there a fuel injector pulse? Any applicable trouble codes?
If your missing everything, I'd check the cam and crank sensors.
If you have narrowed it down to only the fuel system, we can go that way.

Why won't my car start. It cranks over but won't fire up. It's getting fuel.

Hi you need to check for fuel pressure and volume then injector pulse . check for spark , check timing and compression.
If you dont find injector pulse or spark , suspect your cam and crank shaft position sensor.

I have a 2003 chrysler sebring convertible 2.7 the engine lite went on and the diagnostic said crank shaft position sensor the one i removed was worn so i put in a new one but the car still wont start ...

Do you have spark?Just because you have the code doesnt mean its the solution,check you spark remeber the crank sensor signal is at the transmission and the cam is at the cylinder head,is the flywheel broken? is the cam and crank synchronized?check for spark take one plug wire out and leave a 1/4 air gap from sparkwire to spark plug when you crank it should have spark if you have spark do you get fuel injector pulse when you put you finger on the injector you should be able to feel it

Make sure battery has a full charge. Have a helper crank it, while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also, check fuel injector pulse.

2001 300m wont start changed fuel pump turns over but will not start any ideas

is there a spark at the leads? check leads, coil, crank or cam position sensors, e.c.m in that order. if there is a spark and the new pump's fitted correctly, check for fuel blockages along fuel line, if injectors are opening,air flow sensor.
or alternatively have a reliable technician put it on a diagnising machine. i'm sure you'll agree that it would save alot of time and effort

Hello, Had the same problem but i did just the opposite I put a 2002 engine in a 2000. I found out that the cam sensor spocket (for the timing belt) Has the holes for the cam sensor in a different spots causing all kinds of problems also they did the same with the flex plate so I hope you took the one off the 2002 and used it or you will have to pull it back out and change it. Injector pulse comes from Cam sensor, If you have a BAd CAMSHAFT sensor you will not get injector pulse, replace sensor and that should solve your problem. Good Luck and thanks for using FIX YA

I cant get spark out of the coil pack

cam sensor fires the injectors to synchronise injector pulsing with the spark at the spark plugs.. U need to probably change the crankshaft sensor (around the crank pulley) as the crank sensor is what controls the ignition spark.

Hi theoriginalj, have the CPS (cam positioning sensor) and the CSS (crankshaft sensor) checked as soon as possible either one of these has caused a lot of problems for the 300M good luck and hope this helps you. let me know how you make out in the event it may be another problem take care
