My 2004 chrysler sebring overheats really bad, i can barely drive 3 miles before it reaches 3/4. I replaced the thermostat and both of the fans kick on.

you would only have water in the oil if there was a a leak in the head gasket or water jacket ports in the engine. if you are losing water, that quickly, then it's either a hose, radiator, or water pump. put a piece of cardboard under veh after youve filled the radiator and veh is cool, that way you can determine the location of leak. if you don't see the location of leak the next day, then odds are it is the water pump and only loses water after engine warms up an pressure forces it out the weep hole in the pump while driving. (note: if you have white smoke coming out of tailpipe then you probably have a blowed head gasket,)

My 98caddilac deville keeps running hot,i put thermostate, waterpump i took it to shop they did a pressure test it all check out good . i was told it could be my passenger side fan but i think it should be...

I have a 1997 Cadillac Sedan Deville that did the same thing. I replaced the same things you have replaced on yours. The end result was a blown head gasket which I have found out is very common on older model Cadillacs that we own. After replacing the head gasket (which cost me parts/labor $2,200.00) at a reliable mechanic's shop that I have used for over 20 years, the car does not over heat. When I replaced the head gasket, my Cadillac had 131K. However, I have seen blown head gaskets on Cadillacs (similiar year/model) with as little as 50k at used car dealerships. Cadillacs are terrific vehicles but I've found out that bad head gaskets on older models are common problems. Good Luck...Hope this helps a little. A. Levisy in Virginia

I keep adding water no signs off leaks water pump is noisy but not leaking could its still be the pump?

if the water pump is noisy it should be replaced could be the pump that is leaking and not noticable.the system should be pressure tested and inspected to see were a leak could be.

Oldsmobile aurora keeps overheating i smell anti freeze and have to keep adding more but no signs of leaks i have had many repairs to solve the problem it always comes back or never leaaves

The water is leaving somewhere, either leaking out, going into the oil, or going into the exhaust. I would add a bottle of Bar's Stop Leak first. Usually if you smell the antifreeze it indicates a pretty good sized leak. I have had very good results with Bar's.
Check the carpet in the front by the firewall, between the drivers and passengers side. When the heater core leaks you usually get a wet carpet. This would be a fairly inexpensive repair relative to you other options.

Have put coolant in the car, but it seems to be leaking out. What could be the problem?

Hello: You really need to pressure check the system to determine where the leak is. You can purchase a pressure pump at a parts store or take car to a repair facility. It could be one of several things causing the leak: any of the rubber hoses, radiator, water pump, head gasket, freeze plug(s), heater core. A pressure check would show the area of leakage.

I have a 1998 Cherokee with auto gearbox, with petrol/LPG conversuion... My beast runs fine, but having driven 250 miles it had no power due to a fuel problem ?? Accelerator pedal ineffective , although...

I think water on the plugs would make it run rough. But, that would be from the cylinder head gasket leaking into the cylinders and not a radiator leak. It's possible that the leak at the head gasket sealed up. Do you have to add coolant to the radiator to keep the level up?

If not, then it is just a fluke, and I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Just keep an eye on the coolant level.

I have a 1998 Buick Lesabre that keeps losing antifreeze.

Buick 3.8's are notorious for intake manifold leaks. If you are sure you are not leaking externally (look under the alternator and on the top of the transmission), it could be an intake manifold leak. I've replaced mine...I didn't think it was too hard a job for an amateur.
It could also be a head gasket, but the intake leaks are much more common.

Overheating, losing antifreeze but not from radiator

It may be your heater core. the connections are plastic and do brake. Do you get hot air from your heater or defrost? Can you see the leak? Is it for a head-gasket? How's it running? Is it rough?
