Its minus 40 and parking ban on our st so had to park two blocks away and unable to plug in car. Had tow truck try to boost me no luck. What do I do tow to expensive garage or use propane heater by

If you have a propane heater I would try that. If you have a tarp, create a tent over the front to keep the heat in. I would guess that it would warm up pretty quick. You really just need to get the block hot enough for the oil to flow better.

Loosing coolant

the test is easy
it uses the magic of the system has 12 to 14PSI pressure all the time.
hot. so park it get it hot. to 180F (old thermostats fail, they are #1 failure ,so why would you discount that?????)
ok its really hot , my pryo gun shows 180F ,ok real hot is true. no bs.
so now look for leaks.
if you see none
and the passenger toes are dry (heater core drips)
then there are on external leaks,
if true that, then its INTERNAL LEAKS!

head gasket is failing or the A/T or engine oil pan is full of AF.
are you running 50%^ AF all the time, ?????

everywhere you drive do you look after parking, for ground leaks.?
as you leave car and when you come back.
you must. or miss the boat.

I own a 94 mustang 3.8 v6 and I run the heater everyday and just about every week I have to put more and more 50/50 antifreeze in it and there's no puddles under the car and no milky looking oil where...

I would start with the radiator cap seal check. It could still be a head gasket and the water is going through the exhaust - if your exhaust smells sweet this would be an indicator of this. It could be a bad seal on your radiator cap - simple replace job. It could be a pinhole leak in your system or one of the hoses.

92 deville I've replaced heater core heater control valve water pump thermostat raditor and recovery tank and cap . had a pressure check to se if a headgasket. Have no coolant or oil mixing no white smoke...

Hello: ONE OTHER THING YOU MIGHT DO IS GO TO A AUTO PARTS STORE AND PURCHASE A SNIFFER KIT TO CHECK YOUR COOLING SYSTEM FOR EXHAUST GASES WHEN THE ENGINE IS AT OPERATING TEMPERATURE. THE KIT COMES WITH INSTRUCTIONS. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BUY THE KIT MOST GARGES CAN PERFORM THE CHECK. A PRESSURE CHECK MAY NOT ALWAYS SHOW A LEAK OF A HEAD GASKET

My 2004 Trailblazer has had a heart attack!!!!!!! Help!!!! IT has a large clog of oil between the oil pump and the valves, how do I free it? Please help me

Freeing it isnt going to be the problem. I'm assuming you have a engine sludge issue. Oil should never clog anything. If it does you most likely already damaged something. Unless there is something your not telling us here. Poor Maintenance destroys engines everyday. ??. Even if you dislodge it , it will stll be in there.. You could try some engine treatment but youl have to run the engine to get it to work. Only other option is compressed air.

How to reset oil life on bmw x5 2005

Your BMW has a CBS (conditions based service) system, this is a new standard system for all BMW's produced in 2005 and on, these CBS system cannot be reset without being hooked up at the dealer, there is no currently offered aftermarket tool for this operation that I know of. I understand the frustration of this problem, I own a 2006 325i, with the same CBS system. Hope this helps, let me know
