The Overhead Travel Information System (OTIS) shows the driver "supplementary information" in the overhead console. OTIS receives this information via the Chrysler Collision Detection (CCD) bus. The CCD bus is a pair of twisted wires that travels from module-to-module receiving and delivering coded information. If CCD is displayed on OTIS, there is very likely a communication problem with the CCD bus which could be either a circuit or module problem. Diagnosis should begin with retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) via the On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) port. This will requires the use of an advanced-level OBD-II scanner that is capable of communicating with ALL modules in the vehicle rather than just the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) like most auto part store code readers do.
