SOURCE: water pump

Put a drain pan under the radiator drain pet ****.Drain the rad COLD. Loosen, but do net remove the four waterpump pulley bolts.Remove the serpentine belt. Remove the water pump pulley now. Put the drain pan on the floor under the water pump. Take off the bypass hose if equipped.Undo the bolts securing the water pump. Make sure you remove ALL the bolts. With a soft hammer tap the front of the pump until it separates from the block. Remember too much force means that a bolt is likely still installed. Once the pump is off remove all traces of gasket from the block.Go to the parts store and purchase the new pump. It is a good idea to take the old one too just in case they need to compare it ,or, there is a core charge on the old unit. You will get ir back right away if you have it with you. Get a small tube of contact cement as well and use it lightly to secure the gasket to the water pump. This will hold the gasket to the pump and make sure the gasket come off with the pump if you ever change it again.Reverse the procedure to install it.Close the rad petcock. Refill the coolant ,with new, making sure the air bleeder is loosend. Fill up rad until you get no more air from the bleeder. After that, put the drain pan under the rad and run the car. Let the coolant expand and push out the remaining air.Once the car is up to temperature fill the rad and put the rad cap on. Fill the bottle to the normal level and recheck it the next day and add as necessary.

SOURCE: I am trying to replace the motor in my 1996

You will have to drill out the rivets that hold the regulator to the inside of the door panel. then carefully slide the control arms out of the tracks on the window. You should be able to then position the motor where you can see the electrical connection. It should just plug in. You may have to take the glass out in order to have room to get the regulator out of the door.

SOURCE: 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier, 2.2 Water Pump. Can't remove pully.

USUALLY I LOOSEN ALL OF THE BOLTS BEFORE I TAKE THE BELT OFF TO HELP KEEP THE PULLEY FROM TURNING... USE A LONG SCREWDRIVER OR PRYBAR .. PUT IT BETWEEN THE TWO OTHER BOLTS AND LOOSEN THE 3RD. CONTINUE TILL ALL ARE LOOSE.. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY REMOVED 2 OF 3 BOLTS THEN RE INSTALL THE OTHER 2 A FEW THREADS SO YOU CAN PUT THE SCREWDRIVER IN BETWEEN THEM TO STOP THE PULLEY FROM TURNING.

Where is my fuel pump relay on a 1996 chevy blazer? I changed out my fuel pump and the blazer still will not start

Its in the fuse panel under the hood the cover will tell you where it's located. You also may need to replace the crankshaft speed senser,if it's gone the relay won't work.If you listen and hear no fuel pump running when the key is first turn on then it may be a relay issue or the wireing to the fuel pump.

I have a 1996 chevy blazer replaced the fuel and

No, the fuel pressure valve may be stuck open so that the fuel pressure is too low when you start up, but the pump keeps up after the engine starts...
The fuel pressure valve is draining the fuel back into the fuel tank when the Blazer is parked.

The water pump is in front of the engine block. If you follow the serpentine belt to the pulley that connects to the radiator fan. That pulley also is the water pump pulley, and you should see a large radiator hose at the bottom, passenger side. There should be a smaller hose from the top. Hope this help, keep me posted. Be glad to help.

Time to replace the fuel filter. It's not a hard job actually. And it's a VERY common thing to go wrong. I'd change the fuel filter and then run some fuel treatment through the tank afterwards. Believe it or not, I've noticed that a nice bottle of fuel treatment really conditions a fuel filter well.

Hope this helps you out.
