Question about 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix

1 Answer

1994 grand prix 3.4 very hesitant and shaky

My car was running fine on saturday then i got gas went home and all was still fine. it sat outside in the rain for 2 days then came monday i went to go to work and its been running like ****. it seems to be missing but i changed the plugs and wires and that didn't help at all. i thought maybe there was water in the gas so i put water remover in and still nothing. i going to fill up again anf put more water remover in today and other suggestions? when driving it seems to run fine unless the rpms drop below 2000 rpms.

Something has happened to the security, you don't have it anymore. The computer went to default mode and lets the car run. You can either fix the problem(you have to take it somewhere to have it scanned) or remove the instrument panel and take out the light, Or you can live with it..I would just live with it.

fuel pressure regulator diaphram may have failed. The regulator is at the end of the fuel rail on top of the engine. Pull vacuum hose off regulator and see if it has gas in it. If yes, replace regulator. Let me know if you have more questions or if this isn't the problem.

My 1999 grand prix 3800 v-6 stalls when stopped and hesitates around 2000 rpm

tough one, has many things that could be wrong..to give you some idea...Air filter, a loose air hose, gas filter, oxygen sensors, sparkplugs wires or even crossed wires will all play a role in the hesitation that your car is producing, I have 2 grand prix and one of them is hesitating on me right now, I know its the oxygen sensor but I cant fix it now, dont have the money to. I know it wastes more gas but oh well for now! Try testing first.

2000 grand prix, 3800 when it warms up losses power

I would have to say the fuel/water separator filter is clogged up. The filter will remove water and crud from the gas. It looks more like a small can under the car. If the car set up with a low tank of gas, water will condensate inside and once the new fuel sloshes around it gets all this junk off the walls of the tank and that gets sucked in the filter. Try and replace that first..
