1992 olds cutlass supreme wont accelerate when pushing the gas pedal

My 1992 olds cutlass supreme stalls sometimes, but today it started doing its stalling thing, then while on the highway going like 60 mph, the car wouldnt accelerate when hitting the gas. it slowly started slowing down and i pulled over to the shoulder where it was still running, but when i went to put it back in gear it died. it would start right back up, but when i would hit the gas or try to put it in gear it would die again. i tried to start it over and over again and the same thing. what could this be?

Check oil first, Low oil sensor will shut down if more than a quart low. Change fuel filter, could be fuel starvation, change the air filter. stopped up air filter will put MAF sensor out of range. PERFORM OBDII SCAN SOON.

Start by checking the fuses that's simple
than relay than bulbs
last you may have to remove the steering wheel and than replace the entire signal assembly those are pretty much all your options so start with 1 and work your way down the list
