Go look at www.bmwusa/bluetooth for the latest list of compatible phones from each carrier. You should be able to find compatability searching model specific.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

The "phone" button quit working on my 2013 F150. Can't sync with my cell phone. Any suggestions?

This may be a problem with the ribbon contact under the steering wheel know as the "clockspring drum" It can also be the switch. Before doing any work make darn sure you disarm the Airbag system, it can go off and badly injure you.

Cannot find a cell phone/bluetooth that is compatible with Kia Rio5 2009. is there an updated list somewhere? the 2009 list provided does not provide any phones that stores carry.

I am having the same issue. I know you can connect a USB thumb drive and play mp3 files. I also have the iPod accessory cable sold by Kia to connect to a iPod or iPhone. But, I haven't been able to find a smartphone that will connect directly to the USB port and play.

Uconnect auto pairing

Check with jeep.com/uconnect to make sure it is compatible. The phone is the problem 9 time out of 10. The cell phone provider can upgrade the software to make it compatible with the uconnect.

My car has the phone symbol but when I press it it says "no phone"

you probably have the sync system which needs a compatible bluetooth phone to be paired to the car before it will work. your local dealership should be able to help you with that. you can also check out syncmyride.com for instructions and a list of compatible phones.

Unable to upload phone numbers from my Verizon LG phone to my BMW 535i

I apologise if this isnt much help, however this is a common query from customers. They're able to pair the phone to the car but not the phonebook or its other functions.

In most cases this is just simply due to the compatability issues between the system integrated into the car and its ability to fully synchronize with the phone. Its not a problem with the car and visa versa its just that particular phone is too sophisticated/complex for the software to handle.

The only way to see which phones are fully compatible is at your local bmw dealer. They should be able to show you a table of which phones are compatible for your model/year and system it operates on.

Hopes this helps!

Bluetooth Compatibility

Bluetooth is pretty much universal, in that if you have two bluetooth devices and they are paired correctly you should have full connectivity.
If you have not purchased a phone based on the info given by VW, just try and pair a friends phone up to the car, it will do no harm.
