Perimeter is likely clipped on. Also check inside console to find fasteners inside . Wherever it seems to be not letting go, there is likely a clip or bolt. BE CAREFUL if it's cold where you are working. Plastic stuff breaks easily if not warm.

I'm getting coolant in the aircooler.

Not good -
You may have a leak in the heater core.
These require hard work to pull out centre console to replace in vehicles. Coolant flows into heater core inside car and heats the car from the heat of the coolant. You may be able to temporarily bypass the heater core in the engine bay until you can get it fixed with some coolant hose. Depends on car fittings to heater core.

No light on the shifter can't see at night if itsin drive on a 2005 toyota corolla i need instruction how to get to the bulb

remove the center console and you will see the bulb under the shift panel. To remove the console you need to open the lid and remove the pad on the bottom, remove two screw on the inside, remove four screw on the side and top of the console, pull parking brake and slide the console up and back. Some console have electrical plugs!! Disconnect the plugs before removing all the way. On the left side of the shifter is small black socket, turn left and pull down to remove. Replace the bulb and install in reverse order
Good Luck

Remove shifter cable from transmission

short answer: bar room.
remove both ends, it's out.
my guess, is the console end has you , wondering>?
remove it. and worry no more.

long tech answer (see alldata.com or FSM)
the is covered in the FSM.
and varies by model and sub model as they can have different consoles and can vary by country.
some cars the car seats need to come out. to get to console screws.
but not this car.
the USA spec.car has clips (pull em) and screws.
top down. the beverage holder has screws, the other parts pull up
and clips pop out, the center console box has a rug and clips under there. we just pull them off, by using a plastic pry lever.

here is a quote.
Remove the center console as follows.
  • If equipped with manual transaxle, remove the shifter knob
  • Detach the center console retaining clips and pull the assembly upward
  • If equipped with heated seats, detach the heat switch connectors
  • Pry up on the right side of the console pocket, detach the clips and remove the pocket
  • Remove the screws, detach the clips and disconnect the front power accessory connector
  • Open the console lid and remove the console mat
  • If equipped, disconnect the rear accessory power socket electrical connector
  • Remove the console retaining screws and remove the console from the vehicle.
usually the cable goes into a boxed in area, below the shifter
with seals to keep exhaust out or car. so below the shiter
on and automatic car, the cable attaches to the bottom of the shifting
lever. a clip hold is in place the cable.
if car is M/T (stick) then say so. i posted above due to 90% being A/T

now my question, why not say reason for this. symptoms.
this cable almost never fails.

Over head temp gauge/compass will not light. How do I remove the console on a 1999 ford f250 sd?

It is really easy to do. If you have a sunglasses holder (or a compartment overhead) open it and remove the 2 screws in the compartment. That should be it, from there just gently pull the assembly away from the roof, there are 2-4 clips holding the assembly in place. From there remove the main wiring harness and you are good to go. I have removal instructions with pics at www.autoclockrepair.com

How to remove the radio

The '94 to '97 Accord is not the easiest radio to remove. Start with the rear console. Two screws on the sides, then open the console pry open the plate at the bottom and remove those screws. Pull the parking brake up. Remove the cup holder insert.  Three more screws to remove. Now the console will unhook from the front console when you pull it up and to the rear.  Remove the ashtray and the screw behind it. Two more screws for the trim plate. Now the radio is exposed. Remember to disconnect the battery so you don't fire the airbags.
