I've repaired the instrument cluster on my 2004 Silverado bulbs and stepper motors. Is there a particular re-start sequence?

Not too sure what you mean by 're-start sequence', but once you have cluster (IPC) put back together minus lens, you can rotate each needle counter-clockwise to just below lowest mark (zero on tach & speedo) for each gauge. (Note: do not rotate needles while IPC is connected). After initial setting of needles, plug in IPC. Let IPC power up a few seconds. Needles will settle. If adjustment of a needle pointing to lowest mark is needed, just unplug IPC and adjust needle more or less as necessary. Re-plug and check needle position again. If everything looks good, then unplug one last time to install lens, then re-install cluster, bezel, etc. Good luck.

Instrument cluster for a jeep grand Cherokee 2004

ok i answered this yesterday.
again, you can not marry a cluster, ever, with out factory scan tools. why would you try to use a USA miles cluster.
why? why not ask JEEP THAT, ;you will be told NO.
on many newer cars the VIN has to match too.
and the ODOMETER must be MARRIED, not by you.

the cluster has a self test mode (why not do that first????)
after checking both cluster fuse first., with a volt meter. (12v both side fuse is good fuse, keyon)

we do the self test next.
ask or read your other post its there.

Why doesn't my speedometer and hot/cold gauge needles won't work.

If it still shifts OK, then the cluster is bad. More light the electric motors that turn those needles. Having codes read would tell you a lot. Code readers won't read the cluster. Scanners do. If you don't have speed sensor or coolant sensor codes. Replace the cluster or motors.

Have 2007 Jeep GC, v-6, dash lights started flashing and gauge needles swung in full arc, what's cause?

what lights, be clear, there are like 10 or more lights there.
warning lights, illumination?
so the guages stick high, do say what they do and where they end up.?
name all lights that flash,
is car battery charged up? at 12.6vdc rested.

does car start?
does car drive ok>
do headlights work perfectly?
my other shoe drops, do tell all good, bad and ugly and pretend
we are blind, we are.

the cluster you mean the dash is huge thing, with lots of stuff there.
radio is part of dash

the cluster on this jeep is really a stand alone digital display.
it has 2 power pins, and 2 ground pins. for power
and 2 fuses. (are they both good and not loose")
the CLuster brain, is a computer too. as are most modules in this car.
if it has power it boots up with PCM with key turn
and attempts to link up communications with the PCM
and sync, up odometer readings.
and all other indications on the cluster are synced, now.
if you bet comm errors it will do odd things.
but we scan it next.
using any scan tools (even $5 one with canbus)
we scan it and see errors.
i bet you do.
and that, tells you whats wrong.

The needles are not replaceable. The cluster will need to be sent out for repair or a new or used cluster will need to be installed.

2001 Town & Country batterys bad/speedometer got stuck behind 0

a scanner that gets into the instrument cluster computer can reset the needles. or take the dash apart and manually turn dash cluster upsidedown, then the needles will move so rotate untill the needles are reset.

Tach needle buried at park

Purchase a new keyless remote FOB. The signal from the remote is weak and loses contact with the anti-theft module in the instrument cluster. We have 2 sets of keys and 1 worked while the other caused the instrument cluster needles to jump and jam the gear selector. The problem is not the car's battery, alternator, wiring or instrument cluster.

The Radio don't work and speedometer needles stater

Unfortunately my instrument panel did the same then the tach stopped working and gas needle became stuck...I had to get a new instrument cluster which set me back $700.00 including labor(Miami, FL)...NOTE...the odometer's computer is on the cluster and the odometer's reading has to be downloaded to the new instrument cluster.

My Gas gage is off track i wanna fix it without going to the shop

GM's instrument clusters installed on 03-06 year models have faulty stepper motors installed on the instrument clusters circuitry. Dealership will quote you somewhere around 500 dollars to fix this problem. You will be paying for a NEW cluster (probably has same faulty motors in it) + milage programming and installation. There is a way to avoid all of this as i have done if you are a little mechanically inclined and can handle a soldering iron. I fixed my instrument cluster for 40 dollars. My speedometer and temp guage needles were going haywire and only worked when they wanted. i ordered updated stepper motors on ebay ... just do a search for impala stepper motors or something. Make sure they are the updated ones. buy yourself a soldering iron at radio shack (20-30 watt max) should be around 8 bucks. buy some rosin core solder (about 5 bucks), and a desoldering braid(about 5 bucks) if you have a cluster with 3 guages buy 3 motors. if you have a cluster with 5 guages.. buy 5. you need to replace them all at once so you wont have to replace the one or two that still worked later. heres a link to my how to wich explains it all.
