Question about 2007 Aston Martin DB9 Coupe
There is no cranking at all ,when i push the start button with all correct sequence. Please advice
I have a similar problem with my V8 Vantage and have still not been able to find out what is wrong with the car, it first happened around 6 months ago and happened every sort of 3 weeks however now it happens almost every other day.
i have since then checked all the earthing points on the car underneath and they have been cleaned to make sure there is a good contact, i have also fitted a brand new Engine Start Button but still had no luck. I then went and spent almost £250 on a new start motor however the problem is still there.
I turn the key and push the clutch down and when the Engine Start Button turns red nothing happens, there is no noise or anything.. however this never happens in the morning, it only happens after the car has been driven.
Have you had any luck finding out what the problem could be?

I have a 2009 V8 Vantage. It does the same thing too. I thought it might be the battery to the key (ECU) so I changed that. Same problem. I have noticed that this does not happen when I use the non glass back up "key". I suspect it is a problem with the key. I wonder if it has problems with the revolving security codes.
