SOURCE: heat wont work 2001 lincoln town car cartia

Hello Callahan5922....this sounds like a stuck blower motor resistor. I assume the blower won't function in the a/c mode either? If you have a digital multimeter you can check this. I believe it's fuse #2....if the digital indicator goes up or down when you increase or decrease the fan speed thats good. Locate the blower motor resistor....you wil find it located on the fire wall behind the right valve cover hiding behind the heater hose, it's about the size of a cigarette pack. With the engine off, and key in on position, turn the A/C on High, and rap a tap tap tap on the resistor. You might be suprised when the blower motor takes off a runnin,
I hope this is the answer you need and i was able to help solve this for you. Good luck...

SOURCE: i NEED A DIAGRAM OF THE HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM

Your best bet is to get a Haynes Manual from an auto parts store. It will give you the full schematics of all the electronics in the car. You probably won't find the Manual on the shelf with the rest of them, but they can order it and it normally takes 2 days max. for them to get it.

Have you checked the relays and fuses?

Do you have a MIL -Check Light on? If so, what codes do you have?

Warm it up ,& turn the screw on the end of the hose, just below your Brake Booster. When coolant runs out close it. That is to vent air, out of the coolant system.
Use only Yellow GO5 coolant. 50/50 or 60/40 with water.

Check for more PO 301 to 308 COP Coil codes!

I replaced a reservoir jug and thermostat but i have no heat and my 2001 lincoln continues to run hot

it could be an air bubble in the system get the car up to normal tempature before it does remove the reservoir cap and if the antifreeze goes down then add until it gets to the hot level in the bottle and put the cap back on right away and then the next thing to check is the drive belt put on a glove check the upper radiator hose by squeezing it together if it opens up in your hand right away this is a good sign your water pump is still good find out the problem as soon as you can cause this an aluminum engine block and most of them do not like heat
