SOURCE: remove and install struts on 04 mazda 3

In the rear you DO NOT need a spring conpressor to remove struts. However in the front If your struts have the springs around them, then yes you definatly need a spring compressor. They sell and rent automatic spring compressors but they cost  a couple hundred bucks, but if I was you I would go to an auto parts store and get manually spring compressors they are $30-$50 and you hook them up to the springs and tighten them down with a drill or air gun. If you dont have a drill or air gun you could use a wrench of rachet but that will take forever.

SOURCE: mazda 3 vibration prblem

i have the exact problem in my wifes 07 mazda3 automatic 2.3s i noticed it happens mainly slow cruiseing speeds when your around 1500rpms in 5th gear then sometimes it will down shift and be fine. its not the mounts i inspected every one very closley that bulleton is only for the speed engines. it started after i got the trans service done that i paid 250 for and they dont even change the filter. they reflashed the ecm and tcm balanced the wheels and inspected all hubs and exhaust and steering nothing. my gues is a torque convertor lock up is not in sync with the shift points so it bogs the engine down and almost stall. like in a manual car when you almost stall it. if anyone has any questions on what i have inspected or has any updates on how to fix the problem email me at this has been going on for 40000 miles and i only have 2000 left til im out of warranty

My Mazda 6 stops when its raining and the electrics go out, I'll sit 10 min it will restart again drive for a short distance then stop again, this only happens when its raining

Check where the ECU is mounted as I have an MX-5 & the ECU is mounted in the passenger side footwell & when it was raining the soft-top was letting water in at the rear & it was collecting in the footwell & affecting the ECU but only when the weather was wet. Worth a look?

Engine light on, sounds and feels like using lumpy petrol.

i have found 2 areas that cause issues such as you are reporting.
one is poor voltage. check the connection at the starter motor between the alternator and the battery.
the other and perhaps more likely is a wet ECU.

the ecu box is under the windshield on the passenger side, access under the hood. this are can get wet ad corrode an ECU.

remove the ecu, take the bottom plate off and clean any corri=oded and wet areas with alcohol and a tooth gentle.
i would look for a way of mounting the ecu so that it doesn't lay on a flat surface that gets wet...

Timing on mazda

get number one piston up on top dead centre, remove the distributor cap and check the rotor to see if it is pointing to the number one post on the distributor cap, if not you may have to turn the distributor to line it up or remove it and reset it in the block.
That should get it to start then you will have to put a timing light on it to set it to specs.
I am assuming it is a petrol motor as these instructions are for petrol engines

Programming keyless remote

Step 1: Open drivers door and leave open.

Step 2: Lock and unlock the driver’s door using the power door lock switch on the door.

Step 3: Insert key into the ignition.

Step 4: Turn key to on position and return to off position. (IMPORTANT - use ON position NOT ACC position). Do this 3 times within 10 seconds. Leave key in the ignition.

Step 5: Open and close the driver’s door 3 times. (Door should be left open after this step).

Step 6: ECU should respond by locking and unlocking the doors.

Step 7: Press any button on remote #1 twice. ECU responds by locking and unlocking the car doors.

Step 8: Press any button on remote #2 (etc.) twice. Each time the ECU will respond by locking & unlocking the doors.

Step 9: Remove the key from the ignition and the ECU will respond a final time with a series of door locks and unlocks. You're done!

Good Luck.
