Question about 1985 Ford F150
The inside linkage pulls but the hood will not open
My old car does this too because the hook holding down the hood got rusty. I have someone pull the lever while I gently pound on the hood with my fists where it connects or use your body weight to push down on it. Once I get it open then I WD40 it all and have no more problems as long as I remember to lube it once in awhile.

SOURCE: when pulling my hood latch
For this you will require two persons at a time,
Due to an old model vehicle the latch must have got loosened,
the only way is........let one person pull the latch and at the same time let the other person pull the hood up so that it may leave its place.
please try it and let me know.
