Spray with silicone then pull off. If metal end pulls off it can be crimped back on with pliers.

My 1999 durango wont start but turns over

This sounds like it doesnt have spark or fuel. i have repaired a few of these durangos for nostarts. the first thing to do is to find out if its lacking spark or fuel. get some starting fluid spray and have someone hold the gas pedal down and spray it into the throtlebody then have them release the pedal and try to start the truck, if it starts and then dies out after the fluid is bruned then you have a fuell problem, the most common reason for fuel problems is the fuelpump in the gas tank goes bad. another test you can do before the starting fluid is to have someone trying to start the truck while you beat on the bottom of the tank with a rubber hammer. this must be done while the engine is cranking over, if it starts then the pump in the tank is bad. if truck doesnt start with the fluid or beating the tank then check it for spark. you will need to remove a sparkplug wire and place it near the engine to allow the spark to jump to ground, you may need to insert a screwdriver into the plug boot and place near ground (engine) and see if you get spark while starting the engine, let me know the results and we will go from there. good day.

My car shakes a lot while at stop lights. Whats wrong?

Poor performance from spark plugs and wires. mine did the same thing. I tried to change the spark plugs, and found oil within and around the spark plug boots, which is problematic, but not the actual cause of your problem. If you find this, your valve cover gasket needs replacing.

If not, just get new plugs and wires. Got that done and shaking almost disappeared completely.

My Chrysler 300m is misfiring on the 4 cyl. Check engine on.

hello, The 300m's all have individal coil packs for each cylinder. They pretty much sit right on top of the spark plug and have a long boot that goes down into the head onto the spark plug. If you have not replaced the one on cylinder #4 I would do so and that will probably fix your problem. It is held down by 2 torx screws. They are around $85 bucks at the parts store. Hope this helps

Having problem removing the spark plug from my number 3 cylinder. I think that rubber or something is still down in the cylinder. How can I fix this problem

You may need to get a small long screwdriver, and get the rubber boot off the spark plug. you should be able to look at the boot and see whats stuck to the plug. Between heat and age sometimes they glue themselves to the plug. Be sure and use silicone dielectric grease on the new spark plug wires. Use quality wires an dnew motorcraft spark plugs. , Car Quest has oem wires made by Prestolite that are good quality. when intalling on the new plugs.

its just the plug wire nothing else but i would only use kia plug wires after market ones are not made the same. just unplug them and plug the new ones in there is some grease you can put on the boot so next time they will not be so hard to take off any auto parts store sells it

Changing spark plug wires in 1998 camry

You aer not clear about your problem, when replacing plugs and wires all the boots need to stay in place, the larger boot goes around the spark plug, making sure the metal is secure around the tip of the plug, the oppisite end fits the distributer cap, making sure the metal at the end of the wire is securely in the hole. You said you have 3 boots, you should boots for each end of each plug wire and a plug wire for each spark plug

Change spark plugs now mis timing

it sounds like your wires arent connected properly. are you sure the boots are properly seated? if this isnt it, check the gap. also, see if you can tell which cylinder is mis firing, it will make it easier, that way you dont have to check all plugs and boots.
