SOURCE: S70 GLT head replacement

the easiest way to remove the head is to completely remove the exhaust manifold from the engine and turbo assy. you CAN just unbolt it from the engine , but it takes a good bit of wiggling to get it off if you are leaving thre manifold in the car

SOURCE: OIL COMING OUT EXHAUST MANIFOLD

If oil is coming out of your exhaust manifold you probably have bad piston rings. you can buy a compression tester at auto parts to verify the problem.

SOURCE: my 2001 polo gti has the abs light and the brake

lift up the rear seats (the bottoms, they lift up and slide forward) there should be 2 black connections there, check they are connected. Check your brake fluid level, if both are ok, (the following is just a guess) disconnect battery for about 30-45mins. this should reset the error (if there is one). failing that, VAG-COM it or take it and get it checked properly

How to remove turbo from 2.0ltr tdi

1. Search utube for video.
2. Remove exhaust from turbo.
3. Disconnect air intake, oil supply lines.(don't allow any dirt to get in)
4. Undo bolts to manifolds, remove turbo.
It all sounds easy but this is one of the most miserable jobs I've ever done myself.

Golf mk 4 gti turbo starts up but wont rev past 2000rpm

turbo is malfunctioning the turbo waste gate is not working take it to a shop right away, preferablly tow it so as not to damage the engine, if the exhaust gas's gets near the turbine bearings you will burn up the engine and the turbo cna explode like a hand granade and destrou your enging.
