Question about 1998 Dodge Caravan
Oil can leak in several places n your car, valve cover gaskets ,oil pan, rear main seal timing covers, oil pressure switch, oil drain plug, adn the oil filter if on too loose or if punctured. go to your local parts house and pick up a small ultra violet flashlight and 1 bottle of oil dye.( this will not harm your oil or the engine so you could leave it in until you change oil again) Install the dye in the oil filler cap and replace the cap. Next wipe away all the oil you can get to from the top and bottom of the engine. drive vehicle around the block 3 or 4 times allowing the dye to circulate and leak out. Now take your black light flashlight and start looking for a bright yellow or green to show up on the engine. Follow the green line right back to where it came from, there is at least one of your many possible leaks.
