SOURCE: losing fuel pressure whrn vehicle sits for two or

Could be your fuel pump or it could be your fuel pressure regulator. Yes the fuel pump is in the tank which has to be removed to change it. Fuel tank will be towards the back of the vehicle

My 1985 Mercedes 190e isn't getting fuel to the distributor, why

to start with if you got fuel to the distributor, there would be a massive explosion and a fire. Fuel goes to the carby or injectors and electrical spark is from the distributor . if you are new to the mechanics of a vehicle then get a workshop manual for your vehicle . If there is no fuel to the carby( carburettor) then the reasons will be that the pump is not working, tank not venting, filter blocked carby needle and seat problem or injector problems. If there is no spark at a plug lead then it could be immobiliser, coil, HT leads , coil or distributor ignition module.

1985 MERCEDES 190E I REPLACED THE FUEL TANK AND THE FUEL FILTER, AND NOW I HAVE FUEL COMING FROM THE LEFT FRONT FENDER WELL. I THINK, FROM A VAPOR CANISTER? WHAT DID I DO WRONG

you might connect the fuel vapor line and fuel return line back ward

so so fuel goes to vapor canister ,instead going back to fuel tank

if that is the case ,you need to buy new canister too since it saturated now

Hi,
Check the fuel filter and the fuel distributor!
The main problem would be the fuel distributor and only the dealer could properly check it if its malfunctioning!
That model, comes w/ her tender age the mechanical probs would show up!

what is the fuel pressure reading, bet it's zero. replace the fuel pump and the fuel filter. when fuel gets old it gums up the pump and it won't spin and produce pressure, very common complaint on stored cars, i.e. no fuel pressure.

Mercedes 190e ,stalls and will not restart until 1hour has past.

Hello, The fuel filter is located under the car forward of the rear axle. You have to remove the plastic cover and then you will see the fuel pump, filter etc.
It is normal for a fuel tank to have pressure in it especially on warmer days.
I hope this helps.
