Question about 2000 Oldsmobile Alero
I have the basic harness for the wiring but it appears I have to install it to the car's fuse box and also the manual suggests that I connect a yellow wire to the car's battery? I have never installed a radio like this. I have the Kenwood-108 model btw. Thanks!!

there's one under the hood and one right next to the left of where your left foot would be in the driver seat as for the diagram i would suggest going to an auto store and asking for a print out they'll give you a free one if you buy the part from them. the lighter should be in the fuse box under the hood

no problems for this mechanicaly but first to do this you will need a letter from the manufacturer stating that this is permitted and the manufacturer has a certificate of homoglonation for this vehicle thats fitted with this size engine,So providing that you can obtain this then you can have it fitted, next step is to consult an authorised motor vehicle technician who is a paid up member of the appropiate technical college to draw up the relevant papers for the technical specifications for the vehicle showing the new details.Next step is to take both vehicles to an authorised dealer to do the work,as only a garage with the right paperwork is permitted to do the work.they must be registered for value added taxes and hold a certificate of motor trade members federation. Finally when its all finished the vehicle must be be presented to the goverment run vehicle inspection station for a complete test. When it passes the vehicle roadworthyness test ,the vehicles registration document and technical specifications have to be altered in the traffic office which requires that you have paid 4% of the value of the vehicle to the goverment ,and the traffic office fee.The 4% tax can only be paid over the internet and only a registered accountant can gain access to the tax office with a digital signature so its 4% plus the accountants fee for doing this for you.Moral of story ??? if you live in spain buy another car .

replace thermostat . before putting in a new one.remove both hoses on radiator .flush out radiator then your block where thermostat go .remove the hose to water pump. use garden hose .dont turn it on too high. just enough to get the rust and gunk out of block.flush at the top where thermostat go.watch the water . from your water pump. it look dirty .keep flushing until you see clear water and a good flow not a tiny flow .make sure your water is too high. also change coolant sensor. this should help i had the same problem.

Loose wires are the hardest things to fix as even the best most experience mechanics don't like doingf them unless theirs a nice fat payment involved then its yah man I'll tak this time and materil fix till you find open check book job !!! No something like the bulb thats in the shifter ( console ) Door switches remote mirror or power window or lock switch If they don't work maybe their brocken wire is touching gronfd sometimes. If the lights in the door or shifer dontwork the door hinge area is suspect as the wires flex as the door is opened and closed the wire is the same color as it goes to all of these lights rember too that theres a wire in the radio too and if the car has an after market radio in it its the first place to cheack as the installers cause this problem way more often than the car wearing out does. remove and unplugg the radio if after market and root around in there to see if any one laid out hte wire bare and nort hooked up or taped. Many after market radios light as their turned on and dont use this wire but the factory radio does. Another car questioner didn't tell everything thats wrong to save for another question When I found out later the other things they had worked on and still were having troble with I could then figger out the real problem as I've seen so many and heard about em all. All problems effect other things therefore all problems or repairs halfway done or done too cheaply come into the picture Like your problem you might come back and say the power antenna has been broken Will it make the dash lights ficcker Yes. the tail light or front parking light or marker lite is busted bad gone or hanging under the car or just plain gone will thesthtings make the dash lights filcker? Yes

I can't answer your question, but i can give you a suggestion. What I did, was go to eBay and buy a radio wiring harness for the vehicle I was going too install the radio into (I think this one is for you vehicle eBay auction # 330605601746, I have nothing to do with said auction. You can also try Amazon.com, but eBay for me was cheaper) You hook the radio up to the harness and just plug it into the car's radio plug. Since the car currently has an aftermarket radio installed, they may have cut the cars plug off and installed it directly. You would have to pull the radio out to check first.
