It could be a faulty Torque convertor switch. it's located on the front of the tranny. unplug it then drive around if normal switch is bad. let me know more after you check that.

The serpentine belt on 1996 Deville broke. Attempted to pull car 1 mile home but it would not move. Can anyone tell me why and how to get it to move?

It should move freely with the transmission in neutral and parking brake released. The parking brake may be stuck engaged - it should release if you put the transmission in drive first (manually check that the parking brake pedal has released).

Shut off brake light on dash 92 cadillac deville

There is a sensor that sometimes has to be reset once you install the new brakes. Find it and reset it, (it should just push in).

Just want to know if the 1999 deville cadillac is fronmt or real wheel drive

All Cadillac Deville models are FWD (front wheel drive) after 1985. The only RWD models made were the 85-92 Brougham, 92-96 Fleetwood Brougham, the 97-02 Catera, the 2004+ STS and 2003+ CTS.

Push down the parking brake now where is the release lever

The ebrake releases automaticaly when you put it into drive, if the brake doesnt release when in drive then the vacuum release valve may be bad but theres an arm to release in manually, look under the dash where the e brake pedal is and on the side of the braket for the ebrake pedal is a small arm that will release it, good luck hope this helps,

WHERE IS THE BRAKE RELEASE FOR MY 92 CADDY DEVILLE.

The parking brake release is up under the dash near and above the drivers left foot. It should be easy to find because its used if the vacuum release doesnt work.

Can't get parking brake to release, does this car have a release

FROM LUSTY KID:

Some cars release the emergency brake when you put them in drive, provided you have your foot on the brake first. naturally.

The other possibility, your brake cable is rusted or corroded inside the sleeve and is jammed so it will not release. You might need to replace the whole emergency cable.

92 cadillac deville

I sort of had this problem with my 92 deville...u could try to pull bak a lil more on the release and push forward after that while someone else is outside the car...the person outside the car should try giving the hood a lil push n if it pops up a bit...the latch under the hood is located to the left side next to the grill.
