Question about 1990 Ford F150
Unplug the idle air control valve and see if this returns idle to normal.If it does then concern is either the valve is stuck(sometimes you can just tap it with a hammer and un-stick it) or the computer is commanding it for some reason.If the latter is the case you may be able to correct it by doing a keep alive memory reset,unhook battery for about 30 minutes.If unplugging it does not cure it then you have a bad vacuum leak or a stuck throttle or linkage.
