2000 Mazda Protege A/C will cool air but airflow will randomly start, stop, and change intensity. Checked fuses, relays, and front cooling & additional A/C fans and ask seem to be working, perhaps a blower...

Sounds like the blower resistor. It can make contact and break contact as it heats up and cools down. This would cause sudden changes. If the airflow gradually changes speed, it could be the blower motor binding, such as if the motor lubrication has become very old or used up.

If your car is moving when it does this, check that the wires are on tight to the blower motor.

The blower motor on 1987 camry works intermit. is this a bad resistor?

Find the blower resister board that is attached to the air manifold just behind the glove box. It will have a plug attached to it. remove this board from the plastic or cardboard air plunum and check for any coils that are broken. The air traveling through the plunum serves to cool the coils. When the coils break, you loose a motor speed. If the motor is intermittant at any or all speeds, then motor is going bad. JC Witney!

My a/c blower intermittently stops working in all settings. It has a new blower which was installed one month ago. Vent, recirculate and a/c lights will come on when pushed and the compressor will run but...

The blower might be at fault, bump the blower motor, sometimes they will start working if the blower motor is bad,but not always, make sure it is getting voltage to the blower motor,if it is,replace the blower motor. If this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

The air conditioning is intermitent. When

Sounds like your ac needs to be recharged with fluids, not DIY job but should not be expensive at a drive in depot if you shop around.

Ac/heating problem

Same problem for me. Local garage seems to think replacing the control module in the dash will solve the problem. I also have clicking sounds behind where the relay junction box is (under dash). My problem is intermitant so I'm also thinking that replacing a relay or two might also help.
