It is most likey the switch itself.that joint gets loose from using the turning sigals.so some people put a matchbook cover behind the switch.whenever i ask why they do that. they always tell me to fix the problem you are having.they just stuff it in there.I personally think the switch should just be replaced.about 200.00 at your local shop.

CHANGED HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY ON 2002 JEEP LIBERTY ONLY HIGH BEAM LIGHT COME ON

Try flicking the mulit-function switch high beam on and off. There has been known problems with this switch, but mostly the first place to start is with some new light bulbs.
Or possibly your low beam filaments are burnt out. You have to replace the bulbs. Each bulb has a lowbeam and a high beam filament.

I was driving and flicked on my high beams and then my head lights went out on my 2004 impala. I turned the switch and they still would not work

One of two possibilities; a blown fuse - check ALL your fuses OR the dimmer switch (lever to flip between hi/low beams) is shorted out and will need to be replaced.

Both low beam head lights won't come on. I've replaced both bulbs this past summer and recently replaced fuses with new ones and they still won't come on. No issues with the high beams, just the low beams...

One thing to try. In addition to fuses headlights use a relay to turn on/off. Usually under the hood, find an electrical box with (usually) square relays units in it. These just plug in. Probably marked HL or similar. If you're carefull and pay attention, you can switch a couple OF SAME VALUE AND CONFIGURATION to see if situation changes. If so, replace the defective relay. If not, you need an expert.
