How do you install a new water pump on a 1998 pontiac grand prix gtp

Hello, its not to difficult, first relese you fan belt. Then undo the water hose that goes to it, also undo your bottom radiator hose to release the water and coolant, make sure to reconect it befor you go on. Unbolt the pump and remove it, be aware that water and coolant will drain out all over the place. This is nothing to worry about. Clean the area where the pump was thoroughly before attaching the new pump, make sure you attach a new gasket to the area with gasket goo, you only need a thin film. Screw your pump back on, attach the hose and clamp it tightly. Refill your water and coolant, run the car at idle for 5 to 10 minutes and let it settle. Then recheck your coolant levels, top up if needed. I hope this helps.

'05 Hyundai Sonata Coolant Change

remove the cap on the radiator or the header tank, use a plastic container that will hold about 4 ltrs of coolant, there should be a drain tap at the bottom of the radiator, if not you have to remove the hose clamp on the bottom hose and let the coolant drain out.
Replace the hose and clamp, top up the radiator and run the motor while checking the coolant level, if the level goes down a bit just top it back up and check over the next day.
hope this helps

I want to drain the coolant out of my 1998 hyundai excel, where is the radiator ****? And how do I open it?

When you open the hood, right in front, just behind the grille, there should be two long flat metal "boxes". One of them is the airconditioning tank, the other is the radiator. Usually the radiator is the thicker of the two, and should have a metal cap. The aircon tank doesn't.

To drain the Radiator, open the cap, then look for the cooloing hose nearest to the ground, these are usually black hoses about 2 inches in diameter, attached to the engine block by round silver hose clamps, usually the screw type.

Unscrew, or release the clamp of the lowest hose and pull it off, you can use a flat screwdriver to pry it off if it's tight. Now simply let the coolant drain out. Remember to re-attach the hose and secure it tightly before refilling! Hope that helps!
