The GPS needs to see that the parking brake is made. With this wire(parking brake --- blue/green stripe) cut somewhere in the dash ,I not only ;do not have my light showing that my PB is on also the GPS does not see power simulating that I have parking brake on. What Iam asking is;from the fuse box;what wire harness is this PB wire in and when it travels to the center console ;does it go right or left. I am looking from center console in front of shifter : which way do I look rt or left down one side of transmission hump. .That is What I need to know. Right now I am lookin for a needle in hay stack.

The best thing to do in your case is run a complete new wire for that circuit, u will never find the old one without tearing the dash apart.

Hi, I guess your question is how to get power for your GPS.
Try traceing the wiring from the fuse box. Also check if all the fuses are fine. Fuse box should be below the steering.
Good Luck :)

Did you check the common return? Most of the time it is connected to the chassis of the car. See if anything is lose or corroded.

Have a 2009 F550 with 4 Aux. switches on dash, looking for connection location to these switches

Under the drivers side dash on the left side above the parking brake are 4 wires blunt cut. Check your manual to know which color wire goes to which switch. To use just connect the +12V wire of your accessory to the wire of choice and your done.

Need to know where the pink and purple colored dual vacuum plug goes under the dash of a 1991 deville-one of the lines are connected to a port by the parking brake assembly

Hello: There is a switch on top of the steering column under the dash that this connects to. The purpose of the switch is when you have the park brake set and you shift into reverse or drive it will release the park brake. If this feature doesn't work after you connect the line then the vacuum actuator on the park brake assembly may be bad. There is a small lever on the park brake assembly that when you pull back on it, it will release the park brake. You need at least 10" of vacuum to work the system.

Car will not come out of park.

check the fuses wires may have touched ground?
you may not have fix the wire so that its working ?
double check it? also check if you may have cut other wires?
after that call ford and ask a service dude how to get it out of park with a dead bat. you can use that method to get it out of park.
ok now check for power @ the switch on the brake ..... then go to the lock switch and see if its getting power? ...

Color of wire from start key switch to solenoid

Fords use under hood mounted starter relays. They look like a mine withe 2 large threaded posts abd two small threaded posts. Ignore the two large cable posts. If only one small post has a wire on it, remove wire and try to start engine. If no crank, put back on and try cranking. If it cranks then that is the wire you will put juice to with the other side of the in hand momentary button" connectected to the hot big past. Battery cable big post. Note! momentary button only. be safe, you will be too far from the brakes. Always block wheels. set parking brake. make sure trans is in neutral or in park Do not use remote starter while standing in front of the vehicle or while under the vehicle.
