1995 chevy lumina car will not start

I have ruled out battery, The lights and all still come on. When I turn the key it does nothing, no sound at all. The fuses under hood are good. Is there another fuse box located on in the car ? Do you have any suggestions as to what it might be? I am single mom trying to fix the problem myself. I'm having the same problem with my 1990 Chev Lumina Euro. We've replaced the battery and alternator as well as something else. It's sitting in a parking lot...again! It's our only vehicle and we need a solution fast!

Sounds like you have a bad starter try to hit the starter with a hammer to see if it starts if it does replace starter or check for power at the small wire on the solenoid

My 1995 lumina works, all lights and dash lights works.. But i try to start the car and nothing happens it wont turn over

The first thing i would check is the ignition module located in the distributor.Once they go out ,thats it you will have to replace it.

Undo your terminals... Get a battery cleaner (fine scrapper) and clean(scrap) your battery post AND terminals.

My 1995 Chevy Lumina would not start, security light flashing. So I had the lock cylinder replaced which came with a new key (with the chip) The car ran great for about a month, than I had intermittent...

the two small wires that attaching to the lock is very easy to break. if you did not carefully install it then it will break .as you turn the key the wires will move back and forth. you need to check that again

My 1995 Chevy Lumina will not start when I turn the key. The engine does not make any sound at all (no clicking in engine), however the radio, horn, brake lights, and all other lights work properly inside...

sounds like you have a lame solenoid on the starter .i'd start there.get a voltage tester and test for 12 volts at the solenoid terminal if there is 12 volts and the starter still doest engage when you hit the key test the ignition wire on the solenoid when you turn the key it should apply 12 volts as well .if works then take the starter out and find a good repair shop and try a new solenoid first then the starter is next to test .

On my 1995 Chevy Lumina I replaced the battery, starter, fuel line and & filter but it still won't crank up, what could be the issue?

it could be the pump. have someone turn the key but not start and listen by the tank for a short 1 to 2 second hum. If you hear nothing then your pump is bad and you will need to remove the gas tank.
