Whatever color they are coming out of your car for example one set is green. choose a color coming out of your cd player to hook up to green. test that if the front left speaker works wrap masking tape around the green wires in car and label front left. do that until you have them all labeled and correct then hook them up according to what you learned. I know it sounds tedious and it is but it's the only way you can figure it out if they are not labeled.

Need to know how to wire a shore plug that is a 50amp125/250 with a 12/3 wire there is no Indys on this female mount shore power inlet

to start with 12-3 wire is too small for a 50 amp load..but if you are doing 220 it goes like this you have a black ..white and green wire..black is hot..white is hot and green is ground ..if its 110..the black is hot.. white is ground and green is earth ground to casing metal..the bare copper wire is earth ground.. make sure no wires cross.. this will short it all out..

Delco radio for my 89 chevy has 6 wires I know what's hot an ground that leaves 3 wires with four speakers.

old school for sure. got a meter and can this be bench tested? try this and bare with me I am going on memory here..my experiences in a lot of junkyards locally is being recalled to a degree..now usually there is a yellow wire, black wire and orange wire on the gm radio.. yellow was memory and power antenna unles marked otherwise, orange was power and black was ground.. as to the rest, mine were always in pairs as in brown and brown/black or blue and blue/black or green and green/black.. if you only have 3 wires left to cover 4 speakers, then either you have left-right and a common ground between or a front-back with a ground in between..only way to know is by putting a meter on the wires and checking for voltage levels under the operating voltage of the unit.. fooling with the controls will tell you which wire is for what side, front, back, left,or right..now some radios have a preamp made into the radio and a seperate amp unit that looks like a cooling fin setup mounted up in and behind the dash near the radio and only a few wires connected the two together..the amp unit was connected to the speakers and usually it was left right in configuration because most speakers were in the front..on a few one speaker was in the dash and one was in the back deck behind the passengers side seat so I would say you have a left/right and a common ground...good luck

I have a 1990 Celica, trying to put in new radio. Got everything wired up correctly, Constant - blue/yellow, acc - gray, ground - brown and it won't come on. Radio fuse (top center 15 amp) is good,...

You have it right. Use a 12 volt test light to see if there is power between the gray and brown wires when the key is on. If there is power there, you may have got hold of a bad radio.

I have a 1991 chevy 1500 and am hooking up stereo system. But there are some wirtes loose that I dont know their place. For instance, the yellow and black one

The yellow wire from the truck attaches to the red wire of the stereo. The black wire goes to the black wire. If the truck doesn't have a black wire, connect the black wire from the stereo to a bolt on the frame of the dash. The orange wire from the truck goes to the yellow wire of the stereo. Please let me know if you have more questions.

Im installing a JVC KD - A315 radio in a 2003 alero, when i took out old radio all the wires were cut and turned into speaker wire running all over the place the factory amp is in the back i went ahead...

There may be extra wires you don't need. The basic set of wires on the radio is 4 pairs of colored wires--one black-striped and one plain for each speaker. Yellow is usually accessory power, red is hot, and black is ground. Some additional wires may be one for a power antenna, one for an external amplifyer, and one for facelight (in case it will run on dimmer)
The car should have the following corresponding wires:
Radio 12v--- orange
Radio Ground--- black
Radio Ignition--- yellow
Radio Illumination--- brown
Dimmer--- gray
Power Antenna--- pink (if you have one)
LF Speaker +/- tan - grey
RF Speaker +/- lt green - dk green
LR Speaker +/- brown - yellow
RR Speaker +/- dk. blue- lt. blue

The car or radio could have additional connectors, such as for a subwoofer, CD changer, etc.
