Won't turn over. Dash light flickered for a second. Car stuck in park. Tried to charge it with a plug in charger as it's in the garage and I can't see about jumping it with another car since it is stuck in park mode.Help!
Until u have power to the system u can't get it out of part, the car has a brake light activated par interlock safety system, no power to the brake lights no gearshift movement, u have a defective battery or corroded cables or both, clean and replace as needed, pay attention to polarity when u install the new battery.. An open or shorted battery will not charge.

You need an auto electrician to diagnose this. They will connect a professional grade scan tool computer, and find the issue. You can't guess stuff like this.
Check batry terminals are secure & free from corosion, check security of earth strap to engine & main power wire on starter, if ok have the batry load tested to ensure it can perform under load as the starter needs a lot of current. Have you tried a jump start?
My Grand Marquis shift indicator offset. Car was stuck in reverse/neutral/drive. Had to take the bottom of dash apart where pedals are and tighten a couple of torx screws.
First. I would look for a loose connector plug going to one of the fuseboxes, there could be corrosion in the connector even, Under the hood or under the steering wheel. 2nd. I would try to locate the ECM, could also be a bad connector there as well.
This sounds like DRL (daytime running lights) or, much like my 97 grand prix, the headlights came on without any user interaction, as soon as the parking brake was released, and was enabled by a photosensor on the dash.
You need to charge your battery up more. Either get a battery charger or leave the jumper cables hooked up for a longer period of time. Your battery was probably completely dead. You might even need a new battery...they really don't like to be completely drained.
Many possibilities but the alternator is a good place to start, if its plug is loose, then the green relay inside the center console just to the left and slightly in front of the emergency brake will be clicking in connecting and disconnecting the battery( one loud click per time). It will need replacing or simply disconnecting works for the short budget.
