You'll prob have to take the unit out and take to a auto radio shop for unblocking?

My XJ6-300 from 1996 was switched of the power and the radio asked for a code afterwards. Ik filled in some numbers like 0000, 1234, etc and then it says --wait-- In de meanwhile I found the code, but how...

leave the radio on until it clears, the more times you enter the wrong code the longer you wait, it doubles up every time,eg.
first time 5mins,2nd 10, 20, 30, e.t.c dont keep trying or you may lock it out, just leave it on, how many times have you put the wrong code in?

Remote locking on 1996 jaguar xj6

it sounds like the module to the alarm in the car is going bad. the sensor that detects for jags is the tied into the dash speedometer so this will need to be swapped out by the dealer only. the module will also need reprogrammed and rechecked after the reprogramming.
