Question about 2006 Ford Ranger
When exelerating up to 40 miles per hour on a cold engine, you go to give it gas and the truck will not exelerate, feels like its in neutral and the truck just coasts. Engine does not die. Pull over to the side, turn the truck off and then back on again the truck does fine. Only on a cold engine it seems to do this. Check engine light is one took to own mechanic and they could not pin point the exact location of problem, did say its show running lean. took to dealership they couldn't pin point problem either but the following codes were detected. PO174, PO300, PO305, P0306. they suggested we do a major tune up with new ignition coil and wires, and that there may be other concerns. We don't have alot of money to put into this truck and don't want to spend money where its not needed. Please Help!
