It is your throw out bearing and the clutch should be replaced at the same time as the trowout bearing

Clutch pedal switch wiring diagram

You don't need the clutch switch. You need an ignition switch. A part in the switch is stuck on the start position, even though the key moves.

Ac clutch won't engauge

Relay will not engage if pressure switch thinks freon is low. This switch does sometimes fail. If you are sure freon is ok, use jumper wire to bypass low pressure switch and see what happens.

Car will not engauge into 1st or 2nd gear

the gear grinding noise is because the clutch plate is not fully disengaging and the input shaft is still driving. If you did not use the same length of push rod then the slave cylinder is not moving enough to disengage the clutch. Check it out that with the pedal on the floor the piston in the slave cylinder should be almost to the edge of the slave cylinder . That is where It should be to be working properly

1995 chevy s10 2.2 when engine is running and you push clutch all the way down starter bendix is going out making terrible sound already replaced ingnition lock didn't help thanks

Pushing the clutch down shouldn't have anything to do with the starter. It sounds like your throwout bearing may be making the noise.

How can I test the starter solenoid on 1998 Volkswagen Cabrio? I remember from many years ago that you can bypass it to verify if that is the part causing it to not start, but can't remember details, and...

The loud rapid clicking noise wounds like the solenoid is working. Your description sounds like not enough battery power.

Works like this: Enough power to fire the soleniod, but when the started in engauged, not enough power to run, voltage drops, solenoid disgngauges, then process starts again...

Try external power, like jumper cables...

In answer to yoru question, solenoids have typically, two smaller power connections, and two much larger connections...The big connections are battery in and out, and the smaller ones...: one is is the actuator, and one is ingintion resistor bypass. Ususally the small connector at the 2 oclock position is the actuator.

I suggest that you bench test this starter.

87 300ZX STARTER WILL NOT ENGAUGE. I HAVE CHECKED THE CLUTCH SWITCH AND IT IS WORKING

The starter has a thing called a starter drive. It operates with a over running clutch that is a safety that keeps it from over speeding when still engaged with a started engine. That drive needs replaced, the clutch is bad.

check the switch that the clutch actuates.your ignition sounds like it works.some cars also must be in neutral if yours does the wires for this will plug into the transmission.you can bypass the switch at that point.
