My 1985 Corvette Shuts off after it heats up. I reacently changed two injectors that didnt work ($tight). I can tell that the other six still work, but still the same.changed just about all the sensors...stuck Can anyone help please...
there are a few things to check, the oil pressure switch behind/next to the dist. will shut off the fuel pump if it detects no oil pressure or is loose. The module in the distributor can go bad and stop working if it overheats, use a fan to keep the dist cool and see if the car keeps running. monitor the voltages on the Mass air flow and TPS. this should get you started. Also a dirty clogged fuel filter will cause the fuel pump to overheat and shut off.
did u change fuel pump relay? its located on the firewall on drivers side over the years they go bad from heat in engine compartment and car will shut off when at a stop or when on highway its a 15 dollar part and it wouldnt hurt to change

It has only hapened once, at a red light, for about 45 sec. while stopped. - the check engine light, flickered, as the idle, whent from 850 rpm to surging between 15-16 hundred. i don't think I'll get a reading because the light didn't stay on. What should I keep my eye on?
